Course Overview:

Mastering the Decks is an intensive, hands-on DJ programme that takes you from your very first beatmatch to performing confident, crowd-moving sets. Working on industry-standard Pioneer CDJs and DJ controllers, you will learn the craft and the technology behind club, radio and event DJing — beatmatching, phrasing, harmonic mixing and the art of reading a crowd. Beyond the technical skills, the course covers sourcing and organising your music, building your DJ brand, and the business of getting booked, so you leave ready to play real gigs.

Course Objectives:

• Master beatmatching, phrasing and seamless transitions on CDJs and controllers.

• Understand music theory for DJs: keys, harmonic mixing and energy management.

• Build and organise a professional music library across genres.

• Read and control a crowd to deliver memorable live sets.

• Learn the business of DJing: branding, booking and performance etiquette.
